Shinshuku

A Commission in Downtown Durham

Shinshuku is Japanese and means “expansion and contraction”. It is also the title the new owners and I gave to this brass wall art that takes pride of place in their light-filled, modern condo overlooking Downtown Durham.

The clients were looking to expand on the theme of horizontal and vertical lines that create patterns in their floor to ceiling view of the outside.
